The realisation of a long held desire to screen some films that interest us and are unlikely to grace the local multiplex.  The technology will be simple but hopefully, effective and we aim to accommodate about 40 people on a variety of wooden chairs that are largely sturdy but uniformly lacking in upholstery.

American Interior is the latest album/book/live show/app/film from the beautiful and original mind of Gruff Rhys. For our first movie night it brings us great joy to be screening the film element of the troubadour’s American odyssey in which he travels in the footsteps of farm labourer John Evans, an 18th century romantic who at the age of 22 crossed the Atlantic in a quest to find the Welsh speaking Native American tribe that many believed to be lurking deep in the continent. On the way, he writes songs and sings them in the company of a three foot high felt doll of the explorer.

Afterwards there will be some food (special hot dogs + pie) and the chance to have a drink and a chinwag.
