A little while back we made an expedition to somewhere we'd heard about it in Bristol that sounded well worth a trip. As it turned out a couple of hours travel was a small price to pay for the much larger pleasure of eating at Birch, an inspired streetcorner restaurant in the Southville area of Bristol.

We're delighted that Sam Leach and Beccy Massey who composed this dreamy little hymn to seasonality and unvarnished deliciousness are making the return journey to visit us in Llanarthne. What sort of food can you expect? More of the Autumn harvest, some offal and some game but in terms of capturing the style, we don't think we can put it any better than Marina O'Loughlin's Guardian review from earlier in the year.
