WINE TASTING SUPPERS WITH BRENDAN TRACEY
The excitement levels have been high around here the past couple of months with the much anticipated arrival of the first wines we have directly imported ourselves. It’s a special treat and a privilege to be bringing wines into Wales and the UK that until now have not been available here and which we have personally sought out on trips to France. These first wines are all from Loire and details of them (and the opportunity to buy online) will be on the website very shortly - we’ll let you know as soon as that happens.
In the meantime, we are similarly thrilled to be hosting a Loire winemaker who has long been one of our favourites. Brendan Tracey makes wines with a freedom seldom encountered - it’s almost as if someone laced the must with the maverick spirit of hardcore late 70’s Californian punk....oh wait they did. To hear more about that and other tales join us on a special nights when Brendan will take us through half a dozen wines accompanied by an equivalent number of dishes from our kitchen followed by a Q&A.
We will be hosting this event in just one room of the labyrinthian Wright’s, so there are only 35 places available and it will be the case that more than one party will share some tables. The price includes a 50ml tasting measure of each wine with more available to buy to drink on the night as well as to take home.
